i must say, i do need to brush up on my greek mythology a bit more to understand this in full, yet i know enough to piece it together. i really liked how you took the perspective of zeus, how’s he’s frustrated by the humans who don’t take his advice then ask him for help. also, rhyming ‘odysseus’ with ‘possessive bitch’??? crazy, crazy work. i really enjoyed this
Sorry! I never saw you comment here. You know I should just take the praise and leave but that's not necessarily my take on Zeus. Not the content. The Greek does say that. Zeus' first speech opens with a lament that human beings blame the gods for everything. I just had him say it like Tony Soprano, etc. I don't know if I'd call this a "translation" because it takes liberties in what is in the Greek, but I was following the Greek in what is said line by line... mostly. So thank you as always but that fucking bard was the real agent.
(Also, do those rhyme? Slanty yes, I guess they do. I hadn't noticed. That's usually a good thing.)
